Our anti-graffiti projects are always specifically tailored to the location or object. Wherever possible, we involve local residents, schools, and young people in an anti-graffiti project. We do this, for example, by launching a website where people can submit ideas, input, or designs, and potentially vote on the designs we have created. We often incorporate distinctive elements from the surroundings into the design to create a sense of recognizability and identification between the artwork and the neighborhood.
Sometimes, it is also possible for local residents and young people from the area to help create the mural through a workshop. If this is desired, we reserve a number of spots for this in the design, which we naturally touch up slightly after the workshop to ensure the result remains of high quality. Neighborhood participation surrounding an anti-graffiti project has a positive influence on the development of livability. Especially if there is broad support for the artwork from the neighborhood, this ensures that unwanted graffiti tags often stay away after the realization of a joint art project. In our view, a joint approach is therefore the best anti-graffiti solution.
